AI in Smart-Signage: a poster from a single sentence
You describe the promotion in plain language, the platform composes the poster in seconds, and you touch it up if needed. AI doesn't make the screen smarter: it removes the real obstacle in digital signage, which is finding the time to create content.
The blocker isn't the screen, it's feeding it
Installing a screen takes fifteen minutes. Feeding it every week for two years is a whole different matter — and that's precisely where most digital signage projects stall. The hardware works, the software works, but the promotion on screen is three months old. A static screen stops being watched very quickly: customers and staff alike learn within a few passes that there's nothing new on it, and the screen turns back into furniture.
The cause is rarely a lack of will. Producing a clean visual means either a quote from a graphic designer and a few days of back-and-forth, or a good hour on a design tool you open three times a year and have forgotten how to use. For a promotion that's only valid until tonight, neither option holds up. So nothing gets published, and the old poster stays up for another week.
That's the production cost AI removes. Going from "I'd like to announce this" to "it's live" in one sentence changes the update frequency — and frequency is exactly what separates a screen people watch from a screen people ignore.
The AI Studio: you describe, the platform composes
You write in plain language what you want to display, the way you'd say it to someone: "apple pie promo at €4.50 until closing". A few seconds later, you have a complete poster — layout, text hierarchy, price highlighted — ready to play as is.
The result isn't a fixed image you have to put up with. It opens in the Studio, the platform's built-in editor: you fix a wording, adjust the price, change the colours, replace a word that doesn't sound like you. That's what sets built-in generation apart from a standalone image generator — the poster lands directly in your media library, ready to be placed in a playlist and on a time-based schedule.
The requests that get the best results are the most ordinary ones:
- today's promotion, with its price and its deadline;
- a service notice: revised hours, exceptional closure, ongoing work;
- a one-off announcement: hiring, a new offering, the week's event;
- an internal message: a safety instruction, the month's figure, welcoming a visitor.
What AI does, and what it doesn't do
Let's be upfront about it: AI produces a starting point, not an approved deliverable. The text deserves a proofread, the price a check, the colours a comparison with your own. Budget about a minute of touch-up in the Studio. A minute against an hour is still a strongly favourable trade, but it's not zero, and we'd rather say so before the demo than after.
It doesn't replace a graphic designer either. A brand identity, a style guide, a launch campaign are the work of a professional — and their visuals import into the platform like any other media. AI handles the everyday: what needs to go out today, and for which, honestly, nobody is going to open a design tool.
Finally, what you generate belongs to you. Posters produced this way join your library alongside your own files, remain editable and reusable across several playlists, and are hosted in the European Union like the rest of your media.
What's included, and what it changes day to day
Generation is included in the plans, with a monthly quota. The Free plan includes 2 AI posters per month. The Lite and Premium plans include 20 per month, comfortably covering the pace of a shop or site updating its screen two to four times a week. The Enterprise plan is quoted on request.
These quotas come on top of the plans themselves: the Free plan to get started, the Premium licence for a full display screen, the Lite licence for room tablets, remote controls and labels. Contract-free in every case — full pricing is on the Pricing page.
Generating fast only matters if playback follows through. A poster created in thirty seconds can be placed in a playlist, scheduled with times and recurrences, and pushed across the whole fleet in one action — including as an emergency alert when the situation calls for it. You can check remotely what each screen is actually playing, and playback continues offline in case of an outage, on Android, LG webOS or a plain browser.
Questions fréquentes
Do you need to know how to use design software to generate a poster?
No. You describe in plain language what you want to display — for example "apple pie promo at €4.50 until closing" — and the Smart-Signage AI Studio composes the poster in seconds. No design skills are needed, and the result stays editable in the Studio if you want to fix a piece of text, a price or a colour.
How many AI posters are included each month?
The Free plan includes 2 AI posters per month. The Lite and Premium plans include 20 per month. The Enterprise plan is quoted on request. This quota applies only to generation: the number of content items you import, schedule and play afterwards isn't counted.
Is the generated visual usable as is?
Usually yes, but treat it as a starting point rather than a final deliverable. AI produces a complete layout, ready to play immediately; in practice, people proofread the text, check the price and sometimes adjust the colours in the Studio. It doesn't replace a graphic designer for brand identity work: it handles today's promotion and service notices.
Who owns the generated posters, and where are they stored?
The posters you generate belong to you and join your media library alongside your own files: you can edit them, reuse them across several playlists, or delete them at any time. They're hosted in the European Union, like all your content.
